HAWTHORN BERRIES (LAT. CRATAEGUS OXYACANTHA)

Traditional uses of Hawthorn berries:

It shows activity in relation to almost all symptoms of heart diseases: atherosclerosis, cardiac arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, hypertension and peripheral vascular disease. The plant lowers blood pressure, dilates blood vessels in the whole body, lowers blood cholesterol, regulates the heart, slows and normalizes the heartbeat.

Buhner recommends the Hawthorn berries in its protocol extended with Lyme disease to reduce cardiac symptoms.

Side effects:

The Hawthorn berries works mildly and slowly, however, it lasts for a long time and generally no harmful side effects are observed. However, it should be avoided in cases of low pressure.
