Traditional uses of Gotu kola:

Gotu kola helps keep the veins and capillaries elastic and supports the circulatory system. It also supports proper blood circulation in the brain and has beneficial effects on cognitive functions such as memory and concentration.  Gotu kola does not affect blood pressure, but it improves blood circulation and microcirculation in the capillaries. In addition, it supports the treatment of stomach ulcers. The beneficial effect of Centella asiatica active compounds on the collagen synthesis, elastin and blood vessel structure has been demonstrated. Furthermore, it improves mood, reduces symptoms of stress and sensitivity to stress. It is calming, acts as antidepressant, anticonvulsant and analgesant.
