BROMELAIN

Bromelain is a mixture of enzymes from the pineapple core. Bromelain digests proteins, therefore, it supports digestion and allows more effective absorption of nutrients. Thus, it helps in treatments of gastrointestinal complaints, such as irritable bowel syndrome, ulcerative colitis, indigestion, colorectal cancer, constipation or Crohn’s disease.

Bromelain also helps to inhibit the production of compounds that cause pain and inflammation, and at the same time supports stimulation of the production of the so-called prostaglandins (hormone-like substances) that have anti-inflammatory properties.

Thanks to its strong anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, bromelain is a good supplement for people suffering from acute or chronic joint pain.
