COLLAGEN

Collagen is a protein that is one of the main components of connective tissue. It is an ingredient in most tissues and organs, including bones, joints, cartilage, skin and ligaments. Collagen influences the production of synovial fluid and affects the elasticity and hardness of cartilage. It also maintains elastic structure of tissues and organs, and their resistance to stretching. It protects internal organs, including kidney, liver, stomach and holds them in the right position. Collagen plays an important role in the immune system because it stops the growth of pathogenic bacteria, toxins and cancer cells.Collagen is important for maintaining proper condition of the skin as it constitutes up to 60% of all skin proteins, which is why it has a decisive influence on its appearance and condition. Skin is provided with continuous cell renewal process and proper level of hydration, guaranteeing its elasticity and softness.
